Quantitative Analysis Diversifies with Addition of BeautyFirst to Client Roster
Houston (June 28, 2004)
– Quantitative Analysis
(QA) announced today that it recently added to its client roster,
BeautyFirst –
an expanding upscale beauty products chain and full-service
salon. The addition of BeautyFirst marks QA's entry into the
health and beauty industry, further diversifying QA's clientele
into new retail and service categories.
Through
statistical analysis of the company's current store sales and
trade area data, QA will identify and quantify the factors with
the most impact on BeautyFirst's sales. QA will develop a
customized model for the company to use as a guide to site
selection and expansion planning.
Deborah Hayden, QA's president and founder, remarked on the
diversification. "While there are unique aspects of
each retail industry, all retail businesses can learn from the
performance of current locations to understand the factors driving
sales results," she said. "By quantifying the
factors impacting sales, retailers of all types can improve future
site selection and increase sales."
BeautyFirst
President Pat Neville said, "After researching many modeling
services, we chose QA because they offer both a performance
guarantee on model forecasts and ownership of the model.
This will ensure reliable forecasts and provide flexibility as we
apply the model to future site decisions."
Wichita, KS-based BeautyFirst has more than 80 locations in 23
states across the country. Originally founded as Beauty
Warehouse & Salon, in 1997 the company repositioned as
BeautyFirst to provide expanded salon services in addition to
premium beauty products.
